I started making an "ultimate guide" to white shark cage dive destinations a few years ago, but was holding out until I got to New Zealand, the only place I hadn't personally experienced white shark cage diving. Sadly, New Zealand has shut down cage diving there (start the countdown for fishermen to wipe out the sharks). Anyway, I did make a few teasers of the destinations and a full blown guide of Guadalupe (skip to that one by clicking here).
All footage in the following videos was shot by Skyler Thomas when visiting these locations

The Neptune Islands, South Australia (Teaser Video)
|
I think of going back here often, not just for the sharks, but because Rodney and Andrew Fox are such amazing people.
As of now, this is still the only location offering "seafloor" viewing of white sharks and the option to swim with pinnipeds and tuna before seeing the sharks. |
Guadalupe VS. South Africa: Temperature
|
There are great things about South Africa and Guadalupe. This 60 second review focuses just on the temperature, both above and below the surface

Farallon Islands: 60 Second Preview
|
In a word: No
If you have the money to go diving somewhere else, go somewhere else. Unless you don't care about seeing sharks. The islands themselves are cool and rich with history and you get to visit San Francisco. But don't expect to see sharks while you are throwing up and freezing. I worked an entire season out there and saw about 60 seconds of white shark action. |
Mossel Bay, South Africa: So close to shore you won't believe it

This place is such a hidden gem that I almost don't want to tell people. It takes 10 minutes to get to the island. TEN MINUTES!!!!

Guadalupe 60 Second Teaser 2
|
Calm conditions and mostly sunny weather...a place you can fly your drone and be filming the horizon, then pan down and see two white sharks swimming around the boat. There's a reason many people say this is the best location for white sharks.

Guadalupe A-Z: Everything you need to know in one video

You shouldn't have too many questions left after watching this one, except price, which varies so much I decided to leave that part out.
