San Francisco Ocean Film Festival
It was an honor to share two of my films at the SFOFF this year and be able to discuss similar passions with other film makers. Here, David McQuire of Sea Sheppards and I discusses the plight of sharks after the screening of 'Purpose'. You can watch the films here
Sharks at the Academy of Sciences
About 2,600 people turned out to "Sharktoberfest" this year to learn more about these misunderstood and very necessary creatures.
Thank you to VJ Tony Roxxx for spinning my shark video footage to the beats of Opulent Temple and for my gallery collaboraters; Alison Towner, Lalo Saidy, and Fiona Ayerst.
Thanks to Zach Worthington for shooting the event and many thanks to Kathi Koontz and Cat Aboudara from the Academy for making it all happen.
Many accolades to David McGuire and the Sea Stewards volunteers for their presentations and their continuous work making the ban on shark-fin trade in California a reality.
More information about the photos on display can be found here.
Nightlife at the Academy of Sciences, Sharktober theme, October 6th!!
The Nightlife series at the California Academy of Sciences is already an amazing night, but this Thursday they are combing sharks and beer to create 'Sharktoberfest'.
Enjoy the music of Opulent Temple, shark videos (my footage) mixed by VJ Tony Roxxx, tria and presentations by Sea Stewards, shark specimen demonstrations by the lab, and my own photo collection being displayed in the African Hall (which also happens to be the beer tasting room).

World Oceans Day - June 11
"We need oceans. Oceans need sharks. Do you really need your soup?"
Shark finning is leading to the destruction of our oceans as shark populations are wiped out. Come out to sign AB 376 and learn more about the shark-finning industry.
Also featuring new film screenings, the music of My Peoples, byKill exhibits, and more.
To help raise funds WSV is donating a framed print of "Hello". Enter the raffle for your chance to win. All proceeds will be donated 100% to ending the shark-finning industry.
