San Francisco March Against the Cull
As the death toll of tiger sharks rises and non targeted animals continue to be caught on the baited hooks, more of the world joins in the outrage against a shark cull that is possibly in violation of Australian law.
Perth, Melbourne, Cape Town, London, and San Francisco have all joined in the public outcry. Will your city be next?
If you can, please join Shark Stewards and White Shark Video this Saturday, February 15th, as we march from the Embarcadero to the Australian Consulate to deliver a valentine card full of signatures pleading for the lives of the sharks. Even details can be found here. Please join and invite your friends. Posters for the event can be downloaded from this page. We are encouraging everyone who can to dress "sharky". If you have nothing, we will have t-shirts on sale for a discounted price to help offset the cost of the event.
Next week WSV will release a video featuring notable shark experts and advocates from around the world who explain how the cull is not only scientifically ungrounded, but is reportedly based primarily upon securing votes from a certain demographic.
