Another misleading title and inaccurate article... flat out stupid journalism, actually. What they failed to mention is that the very reason this mother hammerhead had a big bite taken out of it is BECAUSE it was caught on their fishing line (a time when its distress signals attract predators and it is unable to escape). She was caught on the line for several hours, which is long enough to cause unrecoverable stress levels in hammerheads sharks even if another shark hadn't come along to take advantage of the easy meal. And the pups, according to the quoted scientist, most likely died since they were premature and too close to shore. So rather than "fishermen save baby sharks", it should say "fishermen kill mother shark AND her pups for the price of sport". Pretty much the opposite of the title. Hope it was fun reeling her in, though.
