Researchers in Mexico have observed whale sharks behaving in what may be cooperative feeding
We’ve learned of whales working together during feeding activities, well. Now researchers in Mexico have observed whale sharks swimming in circles of decreasing size...before turning to swim side-by-side as they engulf the plankton they have helped gather into one area.
It is believed this allows the whale sharks to gather plankton into a smaller area for more efficient feeding
